CHIMEI has once again achieved outstanding results in international sustainability assessments. Following its 2024 Platinum Medal from the EcoVadis sustainability evaluation, CHIMEI was recognized in May this year with the Platinum Rating from the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) — a highly influential global sustainability certification within industrial supply chains. This marks the highest level of recognition in the RBA assessment, and notably, CHIMEI attained this honor in its first participation, reflecting its world-class performance in corporate responsibility, environmental protection, labor rights, occupational safety, and business ethics.
The RBA comprises members from a wide range of industries including electronics, ICT, automotive, retail, and toys — with leading companies such as Apple, TSMC, Microsoft, Walmart, Sony, and LEGO among its ranks. The RBA conducts rigorous third-party audits through the Validated Assessment Program (VAP), which evaluates five major categories: Labor, Health & Safety, Environment, Ethics, and Management Systems. Certification is awarded in three tiers: Silver, Gold, and Platinum. To achieve the Platinum rating, companies must score a full 200 points and address all non-conformities identified during the audit.
In this audit, all four CHIMEI sites — Rende Headquarters, Tree Valley Site, Hsumei Site, and Oil Storage Tanks in Port of Anping — achieved the Platinum certification. This accomplishment reflects CHIMEI’s strong commitment to corporate social responsibility, demonstrated through its enhancement of EHS systems, creation of a more employee-friendly workplace, and reinforcement of supply chain management — all embodying the CHIMEI spirit of “A Step Up.”
Looking ahead, CHIMEI will continue to uphold its core vision of “Creating Lasting Well-Being,” further strengthening its ESG management efforts and actively responding to global sustainability. CHIMEI aims to collaborate with customers and suppliers worldwide to build a responsible and resilient sustainable supply chain.
