CHIMEI believes that education is the key to sustainable development of society. We are committed to cultivating innovative and socially responsible talents. We also care about popular science education for children, inspiring the next generation’s awareness and enthusiasm for sustainable development, and laying a solid foundation for a sustainable future.
CHIMEI Science Camp
CHIMEI hosts the science camp to inspire young students to learn through scientific experiments. The goal is to popularize science and let it take root in daily life. Awareness of topics such as environmental protection and circular economy concepts are introduced, and children can learn to use science to protect environmental resources.
Industry-academia Collaboration
Collaborate with the academic sector to strengthen the technical and practical skills of young talents through classes, internships, and special projects to meet the needs of industrial development and youth employment. For example, in 2022, CHIMEI collaborated with students and professors from six universities on research projects. As one of the earliest Taiwanese companies to introduce RPA (Robotic Process Automation), CHIMEI is actively cultivating new-generation talents with both theoretical and practical skills.
Culture Promotion
CHIMEI founder Mr. Shi Wen-Long devoted his life to the promotion and education of art. Through long-term support of the CHIMEI Culture Foundation and the CHIMEI Museum Foundation, we aim to inspire more people to appreciate and participate in art, and to ignite passions for culture in society.
CHIMEI Culture Foundation
CHIMEI Culture Foundation arranges loans of world renowned string instruments free of charge to Taiwanese students. Grants have been awarded to music and art talent in the annual CHIMEI Arts Award to encourage further learning.
CHIMEI Museum
CHIMEI established the CHIMEI Museum in 1992. Born out of CHIMEI founder Mr. Shi Wen-Long’s dream to introduce local people to diverse cultural artifacts from around the globe, this private collection is one of the most splendid and rich in the world.
Community Care
We support CHIMEI Hospital to deliver comprehensive, high-quality service to take good care of our local communities. Our Phoenix Squad (own fire-fighting team) also serves as part of the Greater Tainan rescue resource.
CHIMEI Hospital
In 1987, CHIMEI took over the Father Fox Foundation Hospital. It was renamed to CHIMEI Hospital and serves local communities with comprehensive, high-quality medical care and healthcare services.
CHIMEI Phoenix Squad
CHIMEI Phoenix Squad cooperates with the Tainan City Fire Department to support Tainan City's disaster relief missions.
Relief Efforts
Motivated by the spirit of compassion, CHIMEI makes frequent donations to contribute to international relief activities. We have donated a total of approximately NT$344 million from 2008 to 2023.
