CHIMEI Corporation today announced the appointment of Chia-Chang Shi as Chairman of the Board, effective immediately. Chun-Hua Hsu will transition to the role of Honorary Chairman of the CHIMEI Group.

The Board of Directors stated that the transition represents an important milestone in the Company’s long-term governance and reflects its continued focus on sustainable growth and leadership continuity.

Since Chun-Hua Hsu assumed the chairmanship in 2012, CHIMEI Corporation has undergone a strategic shift from scale-driven growth to a focus on value-added and differentiated development. During his tenure, sustainability and low-carbon initiatives were progressively integrated into core operations, strengthening the Company’s position in the global materials market and supporting its evolution toward high-performance materials and sustainable solutions.

Chia-Chang Shi brings extensive leadership experience across the CHIMEI Group. He has been involved in the management of Nexgen Mediatech Inc. (CHIMEI Appliances) since 2002 and has served as its Chairman since 2010, contributing to the company’s steady business and brand development.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Mr. Shi plays an active role in advancing cultural and philanthropic initiatives. He currently serves as Director of the CHIMEI Museum, Chairman of the CHIMEI Culture Foundation, and Vice Chairman of Chi Mei Medical Center.
