AEO is a certification system for the security of cross-border cargo movement. Successfully passing the certification symbolizes recognition of CHIMEI's efforts to maintain the security of international supply chains. Apart from the efforts of all employees, CHIMEI is also grateful to Kaohsiung Customs for providing professional advice regarding CHIMEI's supply chain security system.
CHIMEI began implementing AEO certified procedures in January 2021, and examined differences between its operating procedures and standards of the AEO system, identifying risks that are potentially hazardous to its supply chain. CHIMEI established regulations and strengthened existing control measures based on the level of risk, so as to improve its internal security mechanisms and comply with international norms. CHIMEI considers the security of international supply chains to be its corporate responsibility.
