CHIMEI is the first petrochemical company in Taiwan to set targets for limit global warming to 1.5°C and net-zero emissions in 2050.

EcoVadis is the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings. The rating are based on percentile rank of all companies in all industries. There are four types of medals: platinum, gold, silver, and bronze. CHIMEI is awarded EcoVadis Gold medals for the second consecutive year.
CDP runs the global disclosure system by asking companies to disclose their environment data, including Climate Change, Forests and Water Security. CHIMEI has awarded A- grade in leadership score on climate change for 3 consecutive years. First time participated in water security in 2023, also received A- rating, higher than the industry average of C rating.
Asia Responsible Enterprise Awards (AREA) honors Asian businesses for championing sustainable and responsible business practices. CHIMEI stood out from more than 200 companies across Asia and was awarded the AREA Green Leadership Award with the theme of CHIMEI Green Energy Park in 2021.
