| 樂 器 館 經 常 展 示 各 種 自 動 樂 器 、 古 代 樂 器 ， 包 括 音 樂 盒 、 留 聲 機 、 卡 紙 式 風 琴 、 滾 筒 式 風 琴 、 鐵 盤 式 風 琴 、 豎 琴 、 魯 特 琴 以 及 各 種 管 樂 器 ， 使 參 觀 者 能 了 解 樂 器 的 演 變 。 自 動 樂 器 則 於 參 觀 時 由 服 務 人 員 表 演 演 奏 ， 供 參 觀 者 欣 賞 美 音 。 | |
| The collection covers not only the famous violins，but also historical musical instruments from many countries, and mechanical musical instruments, which were popular in North America and Europe during 1900-1930. Visitors can learn about the history and development of the instruments from this collection. The technique of combining musical instruments with mechanical music recordings made with cylinders/barrels, disks, music rolls of cardboard and books can also be seen. The history of music derives from a combination of performers, composers, and instrument-makers, and Chi-Mei Music Museum will be leading the way in demonstrating the diversity this has produced. | |
| Chi-Mei violin collection (including violas and cellos) can be loaned to talented Chinese musicians free of charge, to enhance their performances or take part in any competitions in or outside Taiwan. The collection includes instruments made by Antonio Stradivari and Joseph Guarneri del Gesu, who were the most famous Italian violin-makers from 17th century. | |
